The Maria Toorpakai Foundation was born from Maria’s own journey of courage and resilience. Growing up in Pakistan’s tribal region, Maria defied cultural barriers to pursue sports, disguising herself as a boy to follow her passion. Her fight for the right to play and learn inspired the creation of this foundation — a movement dedicated to ensuring that no girl has to hide her identity to achieve her dreams.
